| Abstract: | This article is part of the project: “Tabloidization of sport and culture in the Norwegian
media: 1930s-2004”.The focus is on texts from the Norwegian, national tabloid papers VG
and Dagbladet from August 14th until October 31st. First, I will explore what discourses do
agents of the media draw on. Secondly, I will explore how the journalists produced a
polarization of discources between the texts of the agent, which is a well-known tabloid
practice. Thirdly, I will adress in what way the picturs confirm a stereotype understanding of
gender. I am inspired by elements form Norman Fairclough`s critical discourse analysis. |
